The Emoji Book Tag

This is my first book tag post, and I’d like to thank the lovely Ally over at I Wuv Books for tagging me. I’m not sure how I’ll go with this, but what the heck…
In this tag, you pair your five most used or recently used emojis to books.

Emoji - GrinningThe Princess Bride by William GoldmanThe Princess Bride

This book just makes me really happy because it’s so ridiculous and beautiful and just a lot of fun to read. If you’ve seen the movie, you will most definitely love the book. Goldman adds in some strange narrations, which are rather interesting…

Emoji - LaughingHyperbole and a Half by Allie BroshHyperbole and a Half

This is a really funny book, with fantastically absurd drawings and entertaining stories. I read it in an afternoon, and was laughing a good majority of the time.

HP Deathly HallowsHarry Potter and the Deathly HallowsEmoji - Sad by J.K. Rowling

Need I explain? I don’t think I actually cried reading this book, but it was very sad, yet beautiful at the same time, ya know?

Emoji - ShockedUnwind by Neal ShustermanUnwind

If you’ve ever read this series, you’ll know how cray the practice of unwinding is. When I first read this book, I was very shocked by it. I previously wrote a Series Spotlight about it, if you’re curious.

Emoji - OKLet It SnowLet It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle

I generally take this emoji to mean “nice”, so that’s what I based this book choice on. I read this book in a day (in between making batches of cookies), and thought it was really sweet and overall nice.

So there’s my first book tag 🙂 It took ages to actually get around to doing this, but whatever.

I tag the following lovely people (if you’ve done it already, or can’t be bothered, don’t worry…)

  1. Jess @ Princessica of Books
  2. Hayley @ Rather Too Fond of Books
  3. Giselle @ Hardwork Boulevard
  4. Jenna @ Reading With Jenna
  5. Clemi @ Cemi’s Bookish World

I’ve had Princess Bride on my shelf for a while but still haven’t gotten to it yet. I didn’t love the movie when I saw it the first time but now it’s one of my favourites!
